Portrait Procedure

When the client contacts the artist, a meeting will be set to discuss the details of the portrait being commissioned. At this meeting a contract will be signed and an additional meeting will be set to photograph and meet the subject. At the contract signing the client is to make a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total portrait cost. If travel expenses apply the client will pay these also at that time. If a waiting list is in effect, the client's name will be placed at the bottom of the list unless special arrangements have been made by the artist.

Once photos are taken of the subject the artist will then choose a group of photos to work from for the portrait. The artist will email the proofs to the client for the client to choose one photo for the portrait. Once the photo has been selected the artist will begin to work on the portrait.

Upon the client request the artist will schedule a "requests" session for the client to view the portrait and make any new requests before completion. Other wise an image of the portrait will be emailed to the client for approval before completion. After approving the portrait, the client must make final payments before the portrait is shipped or final payment must be made upon delivery. Once final payment is made, the artist will not make any additional changes to the work.
